Human Health Hazards

The Health Officer or designee inspects potential human health hazards and enforces the Human Health Hazard Ordinance #01-08-02 as necessary.


Buffalo County follows up on all human health hazard complaints.


Buffalo County Public Health does not get involved with Landlord/Tenant issues.  If you have a Landlord/Tenant issue please contact the Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection or fill out their online complaint form.


If you believe there may be a human health hazard that is not an imminent threat to the public's health and safety please notify your the property owner of the issue before contacting the Health Department.  This includes tenants.
